The village has a shop selling costumes, sun creams, stationery and electric torches (very useful), and a grocer’s that sells a bit of everything including a good range of fresh food: bread, fruit and cheese. It is hard to find meat. However, the cooking in Ginostra includes, of course, excellent fresh fish served at the restaurant “L’Incontro”. The basis of the typical cooking in the Eolie is Mediterranean, dressed with exquisite local olive oil. There is a telephone (with phone cards) next to the church.
